About Us

We were established in 2015 by Helen Barton. Helen works independently and in collaboration with partner consultants and organisations where necessary depending on the requirements of individual projects.

 

Helen is an experienced and highly competent practitioner and leader, with a good working knowledge in all aspects of social enterprise and the voluntary sectors. She has enjoyed a successful and dynamic career working in a variety of challenging roles, and has developed a diverse portfolio across the social housing, voluntary, charitable and public service sectors.

 

She has been a member of senior Executive teams, responsible for matters such as budget setting and control, risk management, health and safety and strategic business planning. Her lead responsibilities have included: developing and implementing core operational services; leading and mentoring staff; and developing positive and successful business management and organisational culture.  

She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.  She holds an ILM Level 5 certificate in Leadership from the Social Enterprise Academy, and an NLP Business Communication Diploma from Think Global.  

As well as providing independent consultancy services through her own consultancy business, Helen also works in partnership or as an associate with other consultants. She has works as an associate with North Star Consulting and Research and with TPAS Scotland. She has also worked with the Scottish Land Commission as an adviser for putting Scottish Land Rights and Responsibilities into practice.

Helen is passionate about supporting communities,  and this extends to a wide range of local and national voluntary work, as a Board Member for Cairn Housing Association, Community Council member and local decision maker for a LEADER European funding Local Action Group.  Find our more about Helen's experience and achievements at her LinkedIn profile at the link below.
